Novasail 360+ From Digital Marine

Being over the line when the gun goes quickly turns an enjoyable days racing into a long day at the tail of the field. The new Novasail 360+ combines a GPS with a Fluxgate heading sensor to eliminate that dreaded individual recall. The Novasail accepts an offset for its distance from the bow then you simply “ping” both ends of the line to display the bow distance to line in metres using the real time heading and GPS positioning.

The Novasail NS360+ features a dual line display with 24mm digits which is easy to configure and operate. The unit runs off one AA battery for 36 hours operation, it even has backlighting for night use. Being submersible to 5 metres it is suitable for Skiffs, Dinghies, Sportsboats and Yachts.

Functions provided include Compass heading, Speed (GPS), VMG, Wind Direction and a 100 Waypoint memory which cycles through distance to waypoint, bearing to waypoint and VMG to waypoint. There is also a bar graph which by monitoring heading gives an indication of knocking and lifting trends.
The Novasail 360+ sells for $495 with a click in bulkhead mount bracket or optional Velcro mast bracket.
